Enough of this iPhone only love. Corcoran has realized the power of the people and has delivered their popular iPhone App onto Android! (**Disclaimer, I (Grant) am an Android user and thus completely biased).
Here is some info from Corcoran:
This is an important milestone for us in expanding our mobile marketing reach, and further solidifies Corcoran as a leader in mobile real estate, not only within our key markets, but also nationwide. Mobile marketing has so far proven incredibly successful for us, with over 16,000 users of our iPhone app and still growing fast. In terms of how long people spend using our service, our apps are currently used for over 3 times longer than corcoran.com, by people all over the world. Whereas the iPhone app is only available to AT&T customers, the Droid is much more widely available to Sprint, T-Mobile, and most importantly, Verizon customers, which represents a very large pool of people who can now enjoy Corcoran’s properties at their fingertips. The iPhone market still remains the biggest pool of people, but Android is by far the fastest growing.
The Android app features properties available in all Corcoran markets: New York, The East End and South Florida, and can be accessed from anywhere in the world.
Corcoran’s app for Android is almost identical to our iPhone app, allowing users to browse and search for nearby listings, filter open houses, see full screen photos, contact agents directly and so much more. As with all of our interactive marketing initiatives, we will be regularly updating the app with new features and adjustments based on how people use the service. The first update will be the inclusion of the popular ‘Get Out Nearby’ service (where you can see nearby places to eat, shop and go out at night), which is not currently available for launch.
